Depending on the store captain your quality of life can vary.

The place is a mess. So many important things don’t get done due to understaffing, poor management, and a lack of standard operating procedures. Management tends to avoid direct criticism which leads to low performers not improving and a small number of people bending over backwards (sometimes literally) to pick up the slack. Also the register setup is not conducive to healthy or sustainable lifting techniques, leading to lots of physical strain and repetitive stress injuries.
