Pay is good but not great, committed to an in-office culture (when COVID is behind us), the company uses a growth framework tool for measuring growth and it feels quite subjective and arbitrary - this framework was meant to help employees see how they can grow, but instead it just feels like a waste of time that doesn't actually help you understand what is needed to move up in title or salary.

Since its cofounders were replaced by an angel investor, the company has failed to deliver interesting features that would hold the interest of customers. The main focus has been on developing performance review spreadsheets, creating internal processes, and continually reorganizing teams. Meanwhile, competitors have developed compelling alternatives and are gaining market share. The many benefits that once made TP unique have been eliminated, replaced by a possible bonus, subject to your manager's whim. A recent focus on "high performance" negatively impacts work/life balance and team dynamics. On the engineering side, the main problem is the acceptance of dictatorial rule by a deliberately rude Chief Engineer. If you're okay with someone else exerting total control over every aspect of what you do, and don't mind verbal abuse, this might be the right place for you. There's been an exodus of knowledge (voluntary and involuntary) as a result.
