      Pros

      Large corporation and our division had clear access to senior level management. Good career development/education program available to certain employees. Great products with a true desire to produce quality.

      Cons

      They tended to focus on M&A vs. organic growth. They tried to fit square pegs in round holes by assuming newly acquired companies' markets were identical to existing businesses.

      Cons

      Training is a complete waste of time Don’t believe anything you hear from your trainer Corporate is the law. Rules only bend for the in crowd Rules are more important than management learning about their employees and what struggles they face Just follow every rule and you will be one of them, minion. Insane amounts of people being fired

      Stock has done well. Benefits are OK.

      Cons

      Trane has had a tendency to chase the new shiny object. Their last 5 or 6 acquisitions have been wildly overpaid for - and they continue to chase the next big thing - Datacenters - paying for new companies when they are at a premium. CEO's get bonuses, workers get laid off. We lost a lot of good folks recently. Trane implemented a flexible work arrangement and I was able to retain strong staff members who needed the flexibility.. ie. working mothers, families. They reverted those plans, gut their DEI initiatives, and the people are the ones to suffer - just to satisfy that large rent in Davidson.
