Pros

I do not understand why criticism in the TransPerfect abound. Business has brought great wealth, me and my family. I am to translate from Chinese Mandarin to English to them for three years, gave me the occasional to improve English knowledge and gather more money. Last month over 250 hours of work, I earn nearly $ 500 in that frame, more than in a factory. TransPerfect is cautious because the payment arrangements, you do not need to pay any tax. I subcontract my translation to other students in English, earn more. I like this company

Cons

No any disadvantages. One day, we serve as a powerful United States, but before that people in the East World are very grateful to the money.

Pros

I disagree with some of the reviews that have been posted here. TransPerfect is a great place to work if the job is right for you, but if you don't have the personality for it, you will probably hate it here (which is usually the case for any job). If you're looking for a career in sales, this is a great place to be. You do have to start at the bottom and work your way up, but once you have been promoted a few times you have the opportunity to make a lot of money. People say that TransPerfect underpays their employees (and I have heard that is true on the production side), but I received a job offer from one of TransPerfect's competitors when I was job hunting and TransPerfect offered $7K more than the other company. TransPerfect invests a lot of time and money in training their employees by sending them to conferences and seminars every year. The conferences take place in 5 star hotels in fun cities (think Miami, Atlanta, New York City) and most of the people you meet are friendly and intelligent. Although some people have had bad experiences with managers, the people I report to are helpful and very supportive. I'm sure people have had bad experiences here, and I've had a few friends (unfortunately) quit, but personally - I really like the job. People complain about having to make cold calls, send out mailers, and manage too many jobs, but the bottom line is this is a sales job. If you don't like cold calling, you're in the wrong business. If you don't like managing multiple jobs, you're crazy because it's money in your pocket.

Cons

We definitely work too many hours. I will admit that I have dreams about forgetting to deliver a client project, or forgetting to return an e-mail, or forgetting to....etc. More vacation time would be nice. At times, it is very stressful - but again, this is a sales job. (I can't speak for production).
