Growing company..

Pros

Agile and suitable for people willing to adopt to things changing fast. Learning opportunity Be part of growing company

Cons

Being agile means, loosing family life. I worked 60 hour weeks several months this year. Company is more focused on showing revenue for Investors rather than compensating employees for their hard work. Yearly Salary growth will be very low. Limited resources with over work load and you feel the pain sometimes.

Pros

Upbeat culture, great coworkers, modern facilities... these all make for a great place to work. I look forward to going to work every day. I have fun with my coworkers and enjoy my work.

Cons

I was not encouraged to negotiate my salary, so I settled for much less than I should've. Raises are not based on merit as far as I've seen.

Pros

Pay was good and benefits were sufficient. Company had done a lot of work to stabilize and improve HA capabilities. Strong customer focus.

Cons

Company was in transition from private to public and was having an identity crisis. Business units were antagonistic and competitive with each other. Business units outside of Chicago were not treated as part of the larger company.
