Pros

Flexible work schedule, In-building gym, relaxed atmosphere, renovated facility, executive leadership appears to care about the company and what we do, ability to volunteer for charities, company is becoming more innovative with what we do. Transunion seems mindful about making the company into a force for good. Added new maternity/paternity leave policy and also provides financial assistance to associates who are adopting.

Cons

It feels like the company rewards associates who leave TU and come back or jump from department to department. It is very difficult to get promoted within your own group. Once you set your standard of work, you will have to constantly achieve more in order to be recognized, which can be difficult for those who are already high performers. Workload can be overwhelming at times.

Pros

Great benefits, both formal (insurance) as well as less formal (Manicube, gym on location). For the most part, good people who love what they do and create an inviting work environment. The company has recently focused on employee engagement, and has put in a lot of effort to improve upon it's employees' overall satisfaction; whether it be work-life balance, rewards & recognition, and even improved technology support. Most recently, the refreshed brand surged excitement throughout the company back in December, and the debut of TRU's listing at the NYSE just last week created a once-in-a-lifetime buzz amongst employees. It is a GREAT time to be a part of Transunion!

Cons

A handful of employees are stagnant, perfectly happy in their daily jobs and have no desire to be career-minded. This needs to be respected of course (to each his own); however, the attitude of such employees should not drive an entire group, consequently hindering those few who may be trying to whip up change for the better (not be bogged down by what "has been done for 10, 20, 30 years") and be leaders in their own rights.
