      Not a good place to work.

      Pros

      As a full-time employee, I got 401K (they do some matching, up to 3%, I believe) and health insurance.

      Cons

      The management are like dinosaurs, using tired marketing tactics and claiming "that's the way we've always done it." Very low raises, if at all. Little opportunity for advancement and growth. The culture was extremely conservative and hidebound. Because it's finance, they bend over backwards to accommodate legal/compliance demands. Upper management lacked any originality or creativity.

      Pros

      TUI (formerly TrueCredit) has excellent pay and benefits. This company is an outlier in San Luis Obispo county in this regard.

      Cons

      Incoherent management direction. TUI is where lofty delivery expectations meet bureaucratic frustrations. The software that TUI works on is not fun or flashy.

      Pros

      Great work-life balance and perks. Senior management made a concerted effort to involve employees as it re-evaluated and revamped the goals and operations of the company.

      Cons

      Process-driven to the extent it gets in the way of simple tasks. Vacation, sick days and time-off days all lumped in one bucket.
