Cons

- Not exactly the bleeding edge of innovation — leadership could do more to push boundaries - Occasional organizational reshuffles can create some uncertainty

Poor Leadership and Toxic Work Culture

Pros

Some talented colleagues Exposure to fintech and higher ed payment systems

Cons

STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT A LONG TERM CAREER. Toxic leadership culture, especially among mid and senior managers — favoritism and micromanagement are deeply rooted. Poor communication and lack of transparency from the top; decisions are made behind closed doors and rolled out with minimal context or collaboration. Unrealistic expectations with little to no support — employees are constantly overburdened, and burnout is common. Minimal growth opportunities unless you're part of the “inner circle” or have personal ties with leadership. High turnover — talented people are either pushed out or leave on their own, leading to knowledge loss and team instability. Feedback is discouraged or ignored unless it aligns with leadership’s existing agenda; innovation is welcomed only if it comes from management. Politics over performance — employees were let go to make room for new leadership’s personal network, often brought in at higher designations. Designations are misleading — titles are inflated, but roles are largely individual contributor (IC) with no real authority or decision-making power. Unfair accountability — you're held responsible for outcomes even if you weren't involved or had no control over the task/project. Zero work-life balance — long hours are normalized, and working weekends is often expected. Hostile culture for dissent — speaking up or challenging status quo can lead to subtle retaliation or isolation.
