The Ever Sinking Ship

Pros

Flexibility to sometimes work from home. Some people here are okay.

Cons

If you read the reviews on this site and they are raving about TA, I assure you these are people who haven't worked anywhere else and don't know how a truly GOOD company operates. This place is a joke, from constant layoffs to getting rid of people in a shady manner who have been with the company for years and are approaching retirement, to the lack of any type of process around any job duties. It is a mess. What a stress it is to work here and not know if you will have a job tomorrow because surely you can't trust your "leaders."

We are always looking for ways to improve how we work, communicate, and engage our talented employee base, which is why we are appreciative of your feedback. You’ve brought up some good points, and the ‘sinking ship’ metaphor shows your sense of humor. Change can be difficult. We are living in an era that demands rapid evolution in how we do business, how we serve our customers – and sometimes that can mean making adjustments that impact our employees. Fortunately, we have resources available to assist those that need extra support from time to time: check out our Communities page, our Employee Resource Groups, or our Employee Assistance Program for reference.

Pros

Easy job, very enjoyable work

Cons

This company cares nothing about employees. I was out on medical leave and because I couldn’t return when they wanted me to, I was terminated. Such a sad outcome to an already devastating time

Poor Strategic Direction

Pros

Given the current environment, I cannot think of any pros unless the only thing you want in a company is to be able to wear jeans ever day.

Cons

For the last few years, there has been dissolution of entire profitable business units and profitable product lines and massive layoffs. The change in strategic direction has led to the company finding themselves in a position of having to reduce expenses which means the layoffs will continue. Toxic environment with the lowest employee morale I have ever seen.

Our organization is moving through a transformation which has meant difficult decisions being made on what products we will focus on. Unfortunately that has meant leaving some markets and this has affected some employees. The decisions have been made with an eye toward building a strong, flexible business that will be better positioned to service our customers. As the business transforms, we will experience peaks and valleys in morale and culture but both aspects are very important to us. This is why we very much appreciate current and past employees leaving feedback on sites like Glassdoor and/or our internal communities. It helps us to pulse check and take action. Thank you!
