      Unfair quality & production standards that are impossible to meet.

      Pros

      Good location, decent benefits, some nice coworkers. Customer service week which culminates in going to a baseball game. Fun Xmas party. Frequent potlucks. Occasional company paid lunches.

      Cons

      Company has unrealistic quality & production standards which creates very frequent firing of employees. The employee's hard work, dedication or experience doesn't count. Transamerica wants robots, not people. An employee is unable to feel secure as one's work is judged each month. If I had to do it again knowing what I do now, I never would've taken the job.

      Pros

      Opportunity for career growth and professional development is good. Opportunity to move between business units for change without impact to service years. In general, the company's leaders attempt to 'do the right thing'.

      Cons

      The company looks good on paper but weak leadership negatively impacts ability to execute on strategy. There is a passive-aggressive undertone to the culture that crosses business unit lines.

      Pros

      From top to bottom, Transamerica's leaders have always been respectful and knowledgable.Whenever I have had an issue that needed resolution, it was done promptly.

      Cons

      Can definitely be a bit disorganized at times which doesn't help for congruity or focus. Other than that, things are pretty good.
