Pros

I enjoyed the people I worked with, fun culture for young professionals, great health insurance and nice office in downtown DC.

Cons

The marketing department is very unorganized. They're unwilling to help or give you the resources to succeed. The job description for the position I accepted was completely inaccurate. It was a failure of an onboarding process and Transwestern completely isolated me from the marketing department and had me work on my own. Poor communication. Eventually, Transwestern wanted me to take a position in a different office for a significant pay cut, but then they said this position was up for the "discovery process," whatever that meant. Additionally, Transwestern accepts inappropriate workplace behavior. They swipe it under the rug if a broker is a top producer. Most stressful and uncomfortable setting.

Great Company!

Pros

This feels like a small family owned business, but still has the infrastructure and resources of a corporation. Very entrepreneurial spirit, and they allow you to pave your own way within the company.

Cons

They will put raises and bonuses on hold for everyone, in order to avoid layoffs. It's unfortunate, but it just shows the integrity of the leadership at this company.
