Pros

It was easy to stand out if you knew anything outside of code, such as cloud, devops, or oAuth (security). Laid back people. Easy place to coast-by. Code & business logic was not complex. Full remote due to COVID. If you’re looking to grow in a corporate world, it’s a pretty solid opportunity.

Cons

It’s an insurance company, not a tech company. It’s very corporate with lots of red tape - takes forever to get things done. Insurance isn’t very interesting to learn, overall. Some departments looked more fun than others. Easy to outgrow if you’re hungry. There’s no Senior leadership to help learn and grow. Started during COVID, so I never met my peers.
