Compensation is low, growth opportunities are limited
Pros
Good company culture overall. Hybrid work schedule. Supportive management for the most part.
Cons
Compensation does not match the level/volume of work being done. My workload has increased by twice as much as this time last year and I'm still making the same amount of money. Poor recognition program for receiving potential awards. Growth is very difficult. You have to know all the right people to get a new job and do an excessive amount of networking, no matter what experience you have. Some departments seem to be biased and will hire from within rather than hire someone who has put in a ton of effort and has experience. Promotions to the next level of the role need to be applied for. You have to go through the whole interview process to be promoted to OAS 2, when it should be based on experience and level of work being handled. As there are otherwise no promotions offered in this role.
