Large company can be slow at times. Not the most exciting industry.

Per the headline: there are WAY too many non-work related things that are not required but kind of are based on evaluations and company culture. The expectation that you lead some kind of pillar, community of practice, partnership meeting, learning initiative, or some other such thing increases the longer you stay. The number of meetings this creates is absurd, and it encroaches on your time to actually get stuff done. Furthermore, the increasing reliance on contractors is not a good move. They don’t understand the projects and are keen on introducing new templates and frameworks to show their value, but it just slows us down.
