Pros

Every year we get the opportunity to collaborate and bring to life new innovations within Travelers. This is an exciting event I look forward to every year due to the chance to network across business areas and get help or help others to develop their ideas on how to improve the business. Travelers does a great job running this and especially this year remotely, they kept us all engaged while still virtual. Not only did they send us photo props, brownies, cake pops and goodie bags, they also sent grubhub giftcards for lunch/dinner. Travelers really takes care of us and ensures we get what we need to be successful, that's what I love about them.

Cons

No cons to list, my experience has been great here.

Work Culture Review

Pros

Employee Health and Dental Insurance are covered. Most underwriters are great people hold fast to camaraderie and strong collaborative efforts.

Cons

There is no such thing as work life balance here. You work 20 hours per day, 7 days per week, most departments run skeleton crews, does not hire enough underwriters to account for the overwhelming amount of accounts that need to be analyzed per underwriter. Regional Directors and VPs hold fast to a tyrannical management approach and are down right verbally abusive. Unfortunately all upper management (Regional Directors, Chief Officers, and VPs) makes the workplace a toxic work culture.
