Pros

BCBAs absolutely cared about their clients, even though some had too high of a caseload. I always felt that they took time to talk to me if I had an issue. Had the option to work in clinic setting, but most cases were home based. Opportunity to get unbillable hours making or researching clients for activities.

Cons

Absolutely no PTO and time off policy was only one day a month. Sick leave was 1 hour for every 30 hours worked and took forever to accrue a single sick day. Inconsistent hours, but that comes with the territory. Drive time is only compensated from client to client and is based on drive time and not milage. Little room for advancement unless you want to become a BCBA>
