Pros

The pay is good; co-workers were great. You are thrown in to projects from the get-go and learn a lot. You can create your own work.

Cons

It's consulting so it's bill-to-client work. Every hour of day is accounted for and there's pressure to have high utilization rates (billable vs overhead). A consultant is expected to be a salesperson, accountant, project manager, and report writer, engineer, do-er. It's a lot of hats to wear.

Pros

Some of the most amazing and talented people I have worked with in industry hands down. Decent utilization goals. Good work life balance as long as you maintain it - you can't rely on anyone else to protect your boundaries. Clear path to advancement. Base salary is one of the best I've found in the industry.

Cons

Lean lean LEAN budgets. Since the markup is so high they have to keep their budgets very lean. Not a large variety of projects. As others have mentioned, a severe perfection the first time approach. This should be the case, but can be demoralizing. If air isn't your thing you will be pulled into every other project that comes your way. Bonus isn't a true bonus and is based on the amount of overtime you're willing to do. The ratio of overtime to bonus is not awesome. Insurance isn't really the best. PTO has a long way to go. They don't have corporate cards which I find, quite honestly, insane. Everything goes on your personal card and has to be expensed.
