Avoid at all cost

Pros

Opportunity to work across variety of projects (in theory).

Cons

In actuality, there is no alignment between individual preferences and project staffing decisions, resulting in a recurrent assignment to projects that do not necessarily contribute to professional growth or provide learning opportunities. Within the ranks of Associate Consultants (AC), Consultants (C), and Senior Consultants (SC), the norm has evolved into extended workdays exceeding twelve hours. Regrettably, this has led to a discernible surge in burnout and a prevailing sentiment of job dissatisfaction, prompting a substantial portion of the workforce to remain engaged solely due to financial motivations. This collective dissatisfaction and low morale serve to create an environment where job dispassion is pervasive. It has become evident that managerial oversight regarding individual professional advancement is lacking, with limited attention devoted to fostering growth and development. A considerable quantum of time is expended on activities of an administrative nature, notably the meticulous revision of Excel and PowerPoint materials that often lack intrinsic significance. Salary and compensation do not commensurate with the extensive working hours that have become customary. The resulting incongruity between effort expended and remuneration received undermines the overall value proposition of the company. Taken holistically, the confluence of these elements impels the clear conclusion that this enterprise may not be a prudent avenue for prospective candidates seeking a fulfilling and rewarding professional journey.
