Pros

Working for the Trinity Solar family as a direct sales representative has completely changed my life in all of the best ways. There is a sense of fellowship here that makes Trinity stand apart from the rest. When someone says that they have your back here, it is more that just a kind expression. It is an absolute fact, which is worth more than all else when it comes to anything door-to-door. The operations behind the scenes are smooth and seamless, and always improving. Our engineers work quickly and efficiently, and our install teams are the best in the field.

Cons

A strong sense of self-discipline is required to succeed here, because we do create our own schedule and work hours. Furthermore, we must be able to endure the daily rejection of doors slamming and defensive homeowners. It can be challanging and discouraging work, but with the help of co-workers/team mates, that adversity can forge unbreakable strength that percolates through all aspects of our lives.

Pros

The leadership top down is top notch. This is the first time I've worked for a company who's leadership inspires me to be a better person, to work harder, and to strive for greatness. Always improving and doing what’s right. Everyone and every company makes mistakes. It’s how you handle those mistakes that really shows your character. I can’t put into words the efforts I’ve seen to make any wrong always right. More growth and opportunity than anything. This is so important to me because I want all my hard work to pay off. Anyone who works here, works hard, and adds value gets promoted. What amazes me is how quickly it happens compared to other industries or other companies I’ve worked for. Overall I love working for Trinity. I’m blessed to have the opportunity and feel grateful for it everyday. In my 2.5 years here I’ve grown more professionally and interpersonally than I have in all my prior working years combined. If you have the chance to get your foot in the door, dive in, and don’t let the best opportunity pass you by.

Cons

It's hard to say what a real con would be as working here is amazing. I can say things are fast-paced and always changing. This may be a con if your someone who likes slow, simple, and predictable.

Pros

Good work life balance, good management, however not always the most supportive. Good training pay. If you’re determined to get into solar, Trinity is most likely the best out of bad industry filled with scammy companies (in RI).

Cons

You will not get paid unless your job installs. Install timeframe is at times 90 days+. Hope you have a hefty savings account because you’re going to need it with this pay plan. From the point of sale to the point of install things are mostly out of your hands and many things can go wrong that cause your job to be canceled. And if that happens, you get NOTHING. Whether you’re at fault or not. The office who handles scheduling and permitting and other logistics is so poorly run that it will cost you money. All good if the entire company/ office can grow from it however there’s no accountability when this happens. In my time there, things would start to turn around and then suddenly get worse. This company claims to care about their own but it’s mostly a facade, if you’re owed commission when you leave they keep it. Enough said.
