Pros

Good pay if you know how to negotiate

Cons

Do not join the international business unit (IBU). The management is very unstable. In 1 year, the C suite can change 3 times and each change means changes to the ground too. The approach is very top down. There is no true Ctrip culture and everyone is working for themselves, mainly to “save their ass”. Leaders are extremely incompetent. They don’t even know how to hire and ask the right questions and they’ll not think twice to fire anyone they dislike. Don’t bother with HR for support. HR can’t even speak proper English so they wouldn’t care. Lastly, the work culture is extremely toxic. Almost everyone I know dislikes their boss and job. I’ve even heard that staff secretly record their convos with their boss just as precaution. It’s very political and many unethical decisions being made. It’s not foreigner friendly. Trust me, save yourself from the misery

Pros

Given or showing the images of an international cooperation but the local operation is more to old 'china based company' practice.

Cons

Horrible culture! Be prepared for the worse nightmare ever in your career journey. Think twice.

Pros

Pay is good for the role. Opportunity for running a territory very early in a career.

Cons

Frequent changes in regional management - new manager comes in every 3-6 months and changes the supporting team, leading to disruption in operations. Very stubborn approaches to working in a new market. Very little respect for written contracts, often blatantly breaking the terms of an agreement, and encouraging this behavior. Regional managers can be very political in their decisions.
