      Pros

      Good opportunity to learn Chinese corporate culture. It's very different from many others, especially this Shanghai based Chinese company is pretty unique. I would simply express "there is nothing possible, while there is everything possible

      Cons

      Working as a foreigner is hard everywhere but could be the hardest here. Take a long time to understand the working environment.

      If you would like a rather comprehensive introduction to a wide spectrum of workplace dysfunctions — including favouritism, organisational chaos, and a practical demonstration of the Dunning–Kruger effect — this company will certainly provide ample exposure.

      Cons

      Progression opportunities appear limited and are often not aligned with performance or merit. Instead, advancement seems closely linked to personal relationships and alignment with management preferences. Communication from senior leadership can at times feel disconnected from the day-to-day reality of staff. Feedback channels exist in principle, but in practice, employees may feel that critical input is not meaningfully acknowledged. This creates a disconnect between stated values and actual experience. Additionally, concerns around transparency persist — particularly regarding surveys and the security of your privet information, which may not feel as open or anonymous as presented. In summary, there are significant structural and cultural challenges that limit its ability to retain and develop business effectively. Plus impressive eyewash.
