Pros

Great coworkers!! I have never worked with people as welcoming and fun. You will gain a lot of hands on experience in the EHS/Hazardous Waste world.

Cons

Long and inconsistent hours with tough work. This job is not for the faint of heart. Also pay is not great, you have to go through an advancement program just to make a livable wage.

Only good as a stepping stone

Pros

Good stepping stone to get a job in the ehs field. Required to work overtime which in turn adds a good amount to income depending the hours you actually work.

Cons

Very very loose management. Management has no idea what is going on for the day to day process. ES team all go to different accounts everyday. Management only cares to service the account. Will over use you in every way possible. Base pay is horrendous for the amount of physical labor. Only way to get decent-good pay is to work over 45 hrs per week every week. ES opinions matter very little which is surprising because that’s the only reason this company is so successful. You will be expected to contribute as much as possible. You will not work with other team members, so you are “on an island” on a daily basis and expected to complete the assigned duties of the site you are at. Very very little communication. Management and entire branch is so overworked don’t expect anyone to pull your weight for you or advocate for you to advance. They want you to stay in the ES role as long as possible. When one person leaves the branch the ENTIRE branch is affected. If you think you are finally moving onto higher accounts, just wait until someone leaves and you are right back to the day one accounts that don’t even matter. ALSO - you will not work out of Cranston! You will travel EXTENSIVELY! every single day in your own person car. In the span of a year expect to drive upwards of 30,000 miles! If you expect to stay in this company and move up- you will either have to move to the CT or Corporate MA offices. RI does not have the growth, and because the turnover is so high esp out of RI, there are no further opportunities that will open for advancement in the close future.
