Pros

Some of my coworkers we amazing, Especially the long term coworkers who originally worked for Tropical prior to Saltchuk ownership. The hybrid flex option. Since the pay is terrible this helps being able to work from home. No room to grow.

Cons

The company DOES NOT take harassment seriously. Absolutely " see it say it" about work safety? This should include taking any form of harassment seriously. Instead the company covers up the issue. Hoping it will just go away. Please be aware of this. Please! It is not a woman friendly work place. Very misogynistic environment. Sadly, we live in 2024 and this is still taking place in corporate America.

Tropical has great benefits. 401k match, Health, dental, vision, HSA...

Cons

Management is lazy. They would rather keep crappy people on then have to search for replacements.
