Pros

Co-workers are super sweet and easy to work with

Cons

Management doesn’t care about you at ALL. They force overtime on everyone by calling it MOT (mandatory overtime) The parking lot is always full The road there is very broken up (lots of potholes) It is located in a warehouse next to a metal recycling plant (loud dumps that shocks everyone) No places to get food close by

Pros

1) Autonomous work environment - The Finance and Accounting teams are empowered to make decisions and either influence changes with cross functional teams or implement changes within our own organization that will improve the financial outcome of our operations. 2) Encouraging creativity and innovation - Truepill is a fast paced high growth organization, we are building the plane as we are flying the plane. Given this dynamic everyone in the organization is working to improve our operations and are encouraged and rewarded for innovating and coming up with creative solutions to everyday problems. We have limited resources and are rewarded for working smart not hard. 2) Remote work and flexible work schedule - We value quality of work over quantity of work above all else. In the Finance org, we are encouraged to continuously look to automate and remove ourselves from the manual creation of reporting and tools that the business rely on for making business decisions, so that we can focus our time on more value add activities. 3) Reward and recognition - We reward and recognize our employees not based on tenure or a cycle of calendar reviews. Instead we reward and recognize employees on a timely basis and based on their ability to drive innovation and delivery of results. 4) It's okay to fail - We learn from our failures. We are not penalized for taking risks and making mistakes. We actively deep dive and analyze the challenges we are faced with and come up with action plans to improve them. We don't get it right 100% of the time, and that's okay.

Cons

1) Broad Scope of Role and Responsibilities - We're a start up. The roles are big, and at times loosely defined. This results in individuals often going outside of the scope of their roles to solve problems. This also means that there can be multiple stakeholders and owners across business decisions. 2) Undefined Business Processes and Procedures - We're building the plane as we're flying it. People who do well at Truepill are those who are comfortable with ambiguity and are natural innovators and problem solvers. We work in a fast paced demanding environment and our teams are continuously innovating to improve business processes. We are partnering with our cross functional stakeholders to define guidelines, processes and procedures as we scale and grow.

Pros

You have the opportunity to take ownership and really make an impact. We regularly test, learn, iterate, and apply learnings in real time. I've affected more positive change in my short tenure here than in entire jobs previously in my career. Your colleagues are all whip smart and easy to work with Other pros: Full Remote Unlimited PTO typically without pushback

Cons

Sometimes the work/life balance gets a little crazy, but that's the nature of helping scale a startup. If you come in eyes wide open, it shouldn't surprise you
