Pros

Decent salary, plus opportunity for commission. Unlimited PTO.

Cons

Will work long hours. Mostly consists of sourcing on LinkedIn or other pages for candidates. Some cold calling.

Pros

For transactional workers: complete lack of oversight, care and knowledge is a blessing for getting their average or poor work unnoticed For incompetent managers: they can get by without adding value and simply theorizing about driving revenue using obsolete experience from 20 years past

Cons

Complete lack of strategy spreading resources thin, guestimating and theorizing, poorly attempting to replicate business models by poaching people (not talent). Utterly sales and revenue driven, taking decisions that compromise business stability and viability, and risk client relationships. Adopting unethical practices in sales and marketing. No meritocracy in recruitment, career progression and compensation.
