Pros
- Friendly, collaborative employees - Relaxed/laid back atmosphere - Fully stocked kitchen with snacks and beverages - Few competitors in the industry therefore there’s a large opportunity for growth for Truveris - Interesting/complex problems to solve through the technology - Flexible work schedule - Unlimited PTO
Cons
- Upper management - lack of transparency, strategy is unclear, interim CTO is hardly around yet is deferred to by the rest of management, decisions are made preemptively (employees laid off only to realize 2 months later we need those roles) - Resource management - most of the tech team has left over the past year (lay offs and their own terms), no plans to hire full time for the tech team, work is being outsourced to an army of part-time Ukrainian developers, 2 QA devs, zero UIUX designers - Too business focused - management and sales dont understand the technology or processes therefore new complex features built quickly are valued over hardening the technology - Not technology driven - Overselling new features yet to be built, tons of technical debt causing inefficient development, UI/UX is outdated and unintuitive - Culture - Way too relaxed for a startup. Long lunches, <8 hour working days by some employees, beer drinking in the early afternoon, people taking last minute PTO/days off way too frequently
