Pros

Tuff Shed views all of its new hires as employees-for-life. Few other companies have that view of their employees. They are a stable company that has been in existence for over 25 years.

Cons

They do not support paying for even part of an employee's continuing education. This is because the company founder does not have a college degree. Few opportunities for advancement unless you are in the construction side of the business.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with our management team. We will be reviewing continuing education opportunities for employees this year. In the meantime, we encourage you to talk to your manager about your career goals and determine what type of program(s) would benefit your professional growth.

Pros

Tuff Shed is a solid, industry leading national manufacturer. The product range is much more broad than most realize. Product availability via both retail and wholesale avenues provides ample opportunity for the consumer to own their version of the Tuff Shed product line, even to the point of creating a customized building. The Northern Region is a cohesive unit which supports each other like a family. In many areas there is also solid support at the corporate level. Tuff Shed is a place where a person can start a career and grow with the company. This is the opinion of the "real" General Manager.

Cons

In my position, as the General Manager, my time with the company was too brief to overcome the challenges set before me when I was hired.

Thanks for your review. Tuff Shed welcomes feedback from our employees. However, we're a bit stumped by this one. Business development jobs are supposed to be focused on sales. It sounds like this job might not be a fit for you. We recommend that you have a discussion with your manager to talk about your career goals. Perhaps there's another opportunity with the company that would better suit your professional style.
