      Pros

      I enjoy working here and working with most of my students. The campus is beautiful and New Orleans is a great city.

      Cons

      There are no opportunities for advancement and no raises. It's a terrible university to commit your career to as it's been a complete dead end for mine. The university in no way rewards employees for staying. WFMO is horrible to work with in general and provides little for employees. Since this has been going on since I've worked here, I assume the president also approves of the way things are done here.

      Poor employee compensation when applying for a job within

      Pros

      Tulane was a great place to work. I enjoyed my 18+ years there.

      Cons

      Tulane doesn't like to compensate there present employees when they apply for other jobs within Tulane. I was an employee for over 18 yrs and applied for a opportunity within Tulane. They contacted me to inform me that I was the person they wanted for the job, but then they informed me of my new salary and was insulted. They wanted to give me pennies and increase my workload significantly. After I turned down the job they then hired a person outside of Tulane for more then double my salary with the same qualifications. How do you expect to keep employees when you do stuff like this.

      Student Worker in different departments

      Pros

      Most people you work with are really friendly and helpful save for a few bad student workers who generally don't hold jobs for long.

      Cons

      The time-clock system is a nightmare and I go in for weekly corrections, less than half of which are my fault. Fortunately the lady who fixes them for me is an angel on Earth.
