What a Shame

Pros

Relaxed atmosphere, free coffee, incredible building, people are great

Cons

This place has taken such a turn over the past 1.5- 2 years. It seems there has been a switch from an incredible place that cared about and grew employees to we only care about the bottom line and damned be the rest. The switch seemed to happen when they moved into the new building which aligns with a company in financial peril. I remember a time when everyone in that company used to look forward to coming into work and now it might be 15 percent of the employees (usually the executive team or new hires that haven't been there long). In addition the bonus program and growth in a role is non existent. Upper Management seems to only look out for itself and sugar coat failing practices to their teams.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you don't feel Turn5 is the place it once was. Recently, several members of the HR team met with about 24 employees to get their feedback on what Turn5 can do better to make the employee experience, engagement, and development better here. As a result of those meetings we received very actionable feedback that I am looking forward to putting into place in 2019. My goal is to not receive reviews like this one in the future. While I cannot control every experience, I joined to make a difference in the employee experience at Turn5 and am breaking ground on that goal. I wish you a prosperous career and am disappointed that you couldn’t find it here with us. Nancy Adams, Chief People Officer 610-240-5111

Pros

Very cool office space, young people alike and in an awesome industry.

Cons

No support for employees and a I’ll take care of myself first mentality. Turn5 is a good resume padder but will never be a place to have a long career. I would not recommend working here. Take your talents somewhere you will be appreciated and supported.

Thank you for your feedback. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed those you work with and the perks of being a Turn5 employee. Difficult conversations take practice to handle well and frankly, many struggle with having them - in every company. Partnering with a good HR team member is key to navigate these areas. I am pleased to share with you that for 2019 we have revised the way bonuses are communicated and will continue to work on that to make the process as clear as possible. Thank you for identifying areas we can improve. In a fast-growth environment, there are often decisions made that impact other areas in order to move swiftly rather than perfectly. It is a part of our culture that we both embrace because it helps us to achieve remarkable growth and struggle with because we want to make sure we execute to high standards. When push comes to shove, we will choose speed over perfect execution each time. Nancy Adams, Chief People Officer 610-240-5111
