How to turn a battleship

Business Outlook

Pros

Turner has great knowledge resources. For any type of construction you can find several employees with first hand experience. They work on large and exciting projects and have good project control methods to learn. They offer great healthcare and retirement benefits

Cons

They don't pay very well and they expect 12 to 14 hours days plus weekends. Its like working doctors hours with 1/10 the pay. They will move you around the country without a second thought. At times it can feel like working in the Government or for a Union because they make employment decisions largely on years of service. Its difficult to interject new ideas into the company processes. People that hire into Turner after working at other firms will struggle with the corporate culture. Turner is very slow to change.
