Pros

Turner Construction invests in their staff. Turner University is an online training program that virtually has every possible training program in every aspeoct of construction. Turner goes out of its way to train their employees and often have employees travel on a quarterly basis for ongoing training. Being one of the largest construction companies, employees have a great opportunities to be exposed to once in a lifetime projects such as stadiums, airports, high rises, etc. Employees are very loyal to the organization.

Cons

Being a 100 year old company is going to have its red tape. Often times, you feel like a monkey filling out forms and completing paperwork. Its a double edge sword, the red tape assures things dont get missed...but your brain doesnt really get a chance to solve problems.

Pros

The company has a long history of success in the region which ultimately provides employees with an opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious projects within this market. Senior management is people focused.

Cons

There is very limited potential for career growth past middle management. The company is essentially managed by two individuals and will likely remain that way for the foreseeable future.

Pros

Very good, competent, smart people really dedicated to doing a good job. Employees are among the best talent in the industry. Interesting assignments, lots of offices to work in. Very good benefits--medical, dental, etc. Peter Davoren is a great leader and asset to the firm.

Cons

There is a feeling among "newer" employees that you are never really accepted at Turner because you are not a long-timer.
