Pros

Flexibility, a few great coworkers, benefits, learning opportunities

Cons

They significantly reduced flexibility and cut many of the benefits that once made the company a decent place to work. The pay is pathetic for most employees, but not for the C-Suite and VPs. Poor decisions are constantly pushed down onto individual contributors, but anyone who’s been at Turo long enough knows the problems are top-down. The executive team is a tightly knit group, and the CEO takes an eyes wide shut approach when it comes to holding his friends accountable. There are narcissistic and self-righteous individuals in leadership who are not people-first. They are far more interested in personal financial and professional gain than doing what’s right for the broader team and the future of the company.

Pros

No pros, the good people have left and remaining ones have turned toxic.

Cons

The worst lot of Executives, VPs somehow (?) landed at the same spot. Some of them can't even see the problems and ask employees to keep grinding and stay focused. They think employees are the problem. They think they are some kind of visionary? Rather they are narcissistic and sooo bad. Omg like so bad. The thing they don't realize is that employees can keep grinding and give 10x output but if the management, VPs and execs can't steer the direction, nothing else matters.

Pros

Genuinely kind, funny, and talented coworkers. Managers have empathy and care about your career and you as a person. A lot of people love the product. Truly flexible PTO (though that may change).

Cons

Chaos of a startup with the bloat and bureaucracy of a large, public organization. Absent leadership at best, without vision or coherence at worst. While I understand we are going through tough times, leadership has handled communicating with employees with a lack of tact that is almost impressive. As a result, a previously vibrant vibe is now off. Everyone is demotivated and going through the motions to try to survive. It’s depressing.
