Avoid at all costs

Pros

Formerly employed talented engineers, but many were laid off or are planning to leave.

Cons

Pay was abysmal, benefits were cut, return to office policy is terrible, and there will surely be more cost cutting measures ahead.

Culture has tanked

Pros

-Immediate (director and down) leadership team and broader team is amazing to work with -Work is interesting and dynamic

Cons

The company's culture has tanked; so many benefits cut, required back to office that was poorly excuted by leaders with no consideration for the people (such as requiring back to office, but not paying for employee parking, resulting in employees either having to pay $25 a day to park, or park 10 minutes away, pay $10, and walk in the Phoenix Arizona heat to the office). Exec leaders are definitely under pressure here, and are horsewhipping their employees to work harder and take on all the work from the 20% of the company they laid off last quarter. We are under pressure to deliver but are not staffed to do so, and because we are salary we are expected to pick up the work from those cut and the positions that were frozen and not backfilled. It is disappointing.

Pros

WLB prior to RTO mandate Most ICs have been friendly enough

Cons

I wish I could say that I've learned more in my time here. I joined the company when new teams were shuffling around so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Since then, I've barely seen improvements on execution and vision from leadership. Now in the current era, I've lost any remaining confidence in the company. It has been difficult to get any meaningful and technically challenging work during most of my tenure. I've had colleagues leave due to this problem, but I stuck around thinking it would get better. I've been in consideration various times for a promotion but it hasn't come to fruition and honestly the added expectations for a marginal increase in salary is not worth my time. Now I see that it was all for naught. The floodgates are now open and it's looking like the best option is to charge for the exit.
