Pros

- you don't work on weekends - management pays attention when their people break down, and they provide special days for pizza, getting manicures, etc.

Cons

- Pay is misleading. Their ads claim that you will get paid $15 or more per hour. No, this is a commission job. You get paid 17-20% of the cost of the cleaning. Also, they do not pay you for the hours you spend driving from house to house. This means that you will get a paycheck for 80 hours when you really spent 90-100 on the clock. - There are no clear breaks on the job. Appointments are scheduled so close together that the cleaners often do not get to eat lunch. If cleaners choose to take time to eat/take a 30 minute break, they may receive a negative review from a client for leaving the house early/arriving late, which may dock their pay for that pay period. - Cleaners are expected to use their own cars for company business. - Rules about pay and bonuses change without warning. - The special days management provides are scheduled into the day but are not paid for, because the cleaners are not cleaning houses at those times. So even though cleaners are being treated, they are also unable to make money at those times.

Pros

Tips, rare as they are

Cons

Putting hundreds of thousands of miles on your car Depending on your partner and hoping you don’t hit traffic just to get home at a decent time Heavily physical for low compensation Long days Free labor Only 20% commission Favoritism Pushover management No opportunity for growth (less pay, more work the higher your position is)
