Pros

Good pay, good benefits, plenty of down time. There are a lot of like minded individuals which builds esprit de corps and makes friendships great.

Cons

No mobility. Limited upward potential. Bi-polar management from the top down. Extremely politicized environment with little guidance or continuous focus on any particular mission.

Morale has been a problem for some years. Constant problems with Congress and budget. Supervisors change every two to three years.
