Friendly culture. Easy advancement. Flexible working arrangement. Good work/ life balance. Great benefits. The agency has a nationwide presence, with 11 regional offices. Very supportive with training and education reimbursement.

Cons

Due to its federal nature, it can be very bureaucratic. Over-reliance on consultants and contractor support.

Flexible work environment, many employees are passionate about their work in the face of adversity, great peer group.

Cons

Excessive micromanagement by DC, no or little communication about organizational changes from DC, DC leadership secretive, poor leadership/management skills of DC personnel, appears to be no effort to improve employee morale.

Layer upon layer of ineffective and inefficient management Lack of professional qualifications of managers contributing to lack of support for functional work Poor morale due to GSA conference scandal (punish the innocent, reward the guilty) IT and financial management software from the dawn of the age of computers
