Pros

It's easy to get hired. Low quality work is constantly acceptable so you don't have to aim high with your work.

Cons

You get paid below the industry standard because 'we're not a tech company.' 80% of the tech team was laid off over three rounds of layoffs in 12 months. Heavy focus on .net 4 development with no plan of moving to .net8. Most of the tech is from the 70s-90s. You never receive the bonus because the company is rarely making money. Company is so small, there's no room for career growth. Requirements for employees work varies based on personal relationships with management. No mentorship program. You're never told to work overtime but the expectation is that you will work nights and weekends on a regular basis. Production environment is the main testing environment.

There is great pay, and great opportunities for overtime.

Cons

The job is far way from me

Pros

The company has potential, no doubt, and some seriously talented employees. The pay is ok and the hours are good if they would stop changing them.

Cons

It's frustrating because it feels like the whole place is run by people who just don't get it. They talk a big game, but when it comes down to it, they don't really understand what we're dealing with day-to-day. My manager? Ugh, they're all about power moves and taking credit for our hard work, instead of actually supporting us or trying to connect with us. And don't even get me started on the constant changes—we barely have time to catch our breath before the next one hits. There's no clear leadership, just a lot of empty reassurances that everything's fine. But let's be real, it's hard to feel secure in a job when the changes being made don't even seem to make sense.
