Pros

Benefits are comparable to other global banks. There is room for input, creativity, and initiative, but it is constrained.

Cons

Management is very close to the vest on everything. There is no transparency and everyone seems to silently claw their way through the hierarchy. There is a very oppressive atmosphere in operations departments. When things go wrong, there is absolutely zero support from line management and much less from upper management. Everyone is constantly on edge for no reason other than the culture of insecurity that is fomented by upper management.

Pros

Benefits are great and the people, if they stay long enough (high turnover).

Cons

UBS was a great company but their management is terrible now and I feel like just a number. Doesn't foster a fun work place anymore. UBS is consolidating roles and doesn't hire people, example No receptionist, no admin manager or branch manager on site. Don't support the support staff. Don't give raises or bonuses. Technology is terrible, none of the systems work. You take on a lot more responsibility and will not be compensated for it.
