      Pros

      - Everyone is really nice and passionate about what they do - A lot of collaboration with other departments and campus groups - Really mellow and pleasant work environment - It's hard to launch new programs because there aren't enough staff to support them

      Cons

      - If you're an impatient, self-driven type of person, the public sector is not where you want to be. You have to get approvals for everything from everyone.

      Pros

      Davis has a small town feel but is inhabited by many smart, nice people and has many cultural attractions/benefits.

      Cons

      Because life in Davis revolves so heavily around the university, sometimes it feels like there's not much else going on here. But really, a top-notch university like Davis is a great place to work.

      Pros

      Davis is a really nice place to live in, located between the Pacific Ocean and Sierra Nevada Mountains. UC Davis itself is highly reputed research University. Research facilities are great. People are generally friendly.

      Cons

      Living expenses are high. University parking is way too expensive.
