      Pros

      The mission of this public institution makes it an important resource for California. There are opportunities to take advantage of professional development to expand your career horizons.

      Cons

      Higher education is in a transition because of significant funding cuts. Benefits which were once attractive are being re-evaluated and will most likely be reduced. Except in medicine and engineering the salaries are very moderate.

      average pay with no bonuses, management cares about themsleves, they get big raises and bonuses despite massive lay-offs and cuts
