Pros

Very easy, probably one of the best on campus jobs available

Limited/capped hours and some other peer tutors are not well suited for the job

Pros

The students are great and 'real', though typically not very strong academically.

Cons

Communication between faculty and staff is generally bad. There can also be a lot of toxicity among faculty members, partly because most academics have imposter syndrome and a big chunk of the professors at UCR seem to derive their fragile sense of self-worth from where they stand on the academic ladder. The class observation process is often used to treat lecturers like punching bags regardless of their teaching performance. In my experience, about 20% of the faculty and staff are pleasant, reliable and easy to work with.

Pros

Flexible and understanding of student schedule.

Cons

No cons as I was a student worker and they went above and beyond to be flexible with my schedule.
