Pros

The Office of Research and Economic Development (RED, about 50 people) and under it the Office of Technology Partnership (OTP, about 20 people) are both led by strong, dynamic, and understanding leaders. OTP is staffed by colleagues who are supportive and interested in collaborating. Leadership believes in supporting researchers and fostering good relationships with industry, while developing the Inland Empire area and finding opportunities for women and minority researchers and students to succeed, and has buy-in from staff. Wilcox is an excellent Chancellor.

Cons

The office is relatively understaffed. There's quite a bit of data entry duty.
