Pros

-All the festivities, programs and activities for staff around campus -The overall atmosphere around campus (academia vs. corporate culture) -Nice areas to walk around campus -There's been a big push campus-wide to focus on staying active and fit, even during the work day, so it's not uncommon to have semi-structured meetings outdoors (!) and have people standing during a long training or meetings.

Cons

-PARKING. They seriously need to put some parking structures around the interior of campus or add *quick* shuttles to get you around. -Public transportation to/around UCR is not very useful. -Depending on your department (supervisor & colleagues) you will find the gambit of either awful or wonderful places to work. It really depends and varies greatly across departments.

Pros

-The job is very easy and chill. Doing customer service and office related tasks is not difficult at all. -You can work more shifts if you want to be paid more and give away shifts if you're too busy to work them. -The team is very supportive and it's a very good working environment.

Cons

-You have to get very used to multi-tasking and handling the entire office when it's very busy without help sometimes -The job is very time consuming. You'll have less time for homework
