Pros

A good environment to work in, great benefits.

Cons

It is hard to get an interview, there are hundreds of applicants. They would ratger hire limited appointments that only last 6 months.

Pros

Very flexible job and able to network with many employees from other schools.

Cons

Just limited to 20 hours and cannot really move up, but this is a starting job it is ideal for a student.

Pros

Health ins. included, unionized, other subsidies. UCR is a fairly progressive campus with a diverse student body. As a result, there are quite a few resources and support networks

Cons

Long hours, low pay. You may or may not TA most of your graduate career depending on funding and your mentor. Nothing atypical of most graduate programs.
