Pros

There are some benefits whereas work-life balance is concerned. The more up on the ladder the better accommodations there are.

Cons

Benefits are not as competitive as they used to be. They are just above par as the top US companies. Retirement is contribute if you get hired now so that has diminished so far. The culture is old but there are some pockets of great people and management. VERY SLOW to promote.

Pros

Nice people, great place to work and enjoy the time working. Everyone seems to promote teamwork and if there are any issues, it's normally solved together.

Cons

Unless you live in Riverside County, it is a pretty far commute. There are times during the day when traffic becomes intense, so it is necessary to plan accordingly ahead of time.

Pros

UCR has some of the nicest, most positive, energetic, dedicated leadership and staff. There's an atmosphere of growth, innovation, and willingness to try creative new ideas. The campus is growing, not only in population, but it's moving up in the rankings. The students are overall a very fun group to work with - bright and humble.

Cons

Location - there's not much to do or see in Riverside. However, you can easily take a weekend trip to the mountains, desert, or beach. Also, the air quality is quite poor and the hills are brown 11 months of the year.
