Pros

Company is starting to turn a profit and reinvesting the money into much needed floor remodeling and upgrading outdated equipment. All rooms will be private one day.

Cons

Huge disconnect between management and floor staff. Floors are very frequently understaffed. Nurse ratio can routinely be 6:1 on very ill patients. Many of the nurses are new grads without the experience to handle that type of caseload. CNA ratio is usually one per fifteen patients. Staff are trying hard, but they are overworked and feel like failures. Management keeps saying they "hear" staff, but nothing ever seems to change.

Pros

Bench strength in depth of services and providers. Great staff - good team environment.

Cons

Not all affiliates are academic in nature. Highly corporate and can get bogged down with attempting to bring about change.
