It's all about the money now.

Pros

UC Health isn't afraid to spend money on patient services like high tech equipment and fancy buildings and high end décor. If you want the latest and greatest technologies this is the place.

Cons

Completely left customer service as a thing of the past. Great customer service in health care allows a person TIME to process and heal. But it's all about money now. Under previous CEO Rulon Stacey the PVH system was a coveted place to work with very high employee satisfaction and a stellar reputation that health care providers were top notch experienced care givers. Now it's scared mangagers, new grads (because they are cheap and hungry and in debt), and employees that can't leave. After the UC take over PVH lost it's soul. Such a shame. Patients get the shaft in the end.

Pros

Very well funded with good money management. Some good leaders coming in. Retirement programs are pretty exceptional. Health insurance through Anthem is mediocre but relatively cheap.

Cons

Fails to invest in human capital. I am actually planning to leave very soon. Poor accountability - bad employees are allowed to stay despite the fact that there are mounds of evidence to support termination. This results in more work for those who are competent. When an opening that could have been a promotion was available hiring manager demonstrated that he was planning to go "outside" to fill the job. When I pointed out my credentials his response was, "oh you should feel free to apply if you want to." Not a strong endorsement - so why bother.

Pros

I do like the benefits, and the standard of care that patients receive. I feel confident receiving medical care there for myself and friends.

Cons

I have worked in a variety of positions. I used to feel proud of my employment there. I feel that they are becoming progressively corporate focused instead of employee focused.
