Pros
- Management is usually very willing to help you move up - tons of career growth opportunities. - Offers a yearly bonus and merit pay increases. - Benefit packages are good and they have one of the highest PTO accrual rates I’ve seen in the industry. You are given 24 hours of PTO on your first day and another 24 hours of PTO on your one year anniversary date. - Easy to transfer to other jobs at other UCHealth hospitals. - Offers CE and Education reimbursement options.
Cons
- Required to use your PTO to cover a holiday if you are off that day (ex: scheduled surgeries do not happen on holidays so you are required to take the day off either unpaid or with your PTO). - Can encounter high turnover rates in certain departments
