Pros

Great employer, great people, and inspiring mission. I enjoy working with the most current knowledge. Experts are always available and the culture of “yes” is not directed only toward patients but also employees.

Cons

Large organization which is growing fast. Sometimes we have to take a step back and reassess. Changes in plans are common but can cause anxiety or stress among staff.

Pros

Fantastic people - really passionate and professional about what they do, lots of deep knowledge and very approachable at all levels. Recruitment and on-boarding process was excellent. Recruitment moved at pace and the on-boarding left me feeling very much part of a team very quickly Large enough to have a huge variety of projects and experiences and yet not so large you get lost in a global giant. Chance to see how the whole business works Remuneration is competitive and the package flexible

Cons

Company is growing fast and learning as it goes so some of the processes may not be as polished as you would see in one of the really big players but that's not always a bad thing

Step backwards in time with the new UCH joint agreement

Pros

Benefits are good if you can make it to the 5 year buy in for retirement. Senior management does a good job of hearing your thoughts, then not following through. Most crews do a good job of banding together in an attempt to complete tasks efficiently.

Cons

Directors and managers provide nill in support to the people doing the work on the ground. The little people as myself and others I know have been the scapegoat and place to pawn off the real issues at hand. HR is a joke as other reviewers from around the web do agree, you don't have to actually do your job at all, you can just hand it off to the real workers and they are the ones that get in trouble for not completing their supposed work. No use going above and beyond, its frowned upon and can even get you wrote up, I am the perfect example. As to the backward comment, cell phones where taken away and replaced with old fashioned pagers. Many safety and communication problems have came to light with no help from area directors. That's too bad you fell and broke something and can't get help... Noone will find you for days if anything happened in a low traffic area, much less when off site at our hundreds of other locations! Work in pairs for safety issues, NOPE, not allowed to. Patients safety is our priority, but as caregivers we are expendable, magnet hospital, not so much anymore. My advice, do as your told weather its right or wrong, sad but true. No excuses even if its the right thing at the right time. Every person every time, that class has been deemed a waste of time. If you can get in keep your head low and good luck!
