Pros

Many different types of resources. There are also many different positions across multiple fields within the university, so opportunities for moving around within UCLA are abundant. Los Angeles is a very diverse, exciting city in which to lie and work.

Cons

A lot of bureaucracy to navigate. It's also a large university, but individual departments can make it feel like a much smaller, more intimate work environment. Compensation isn't that great, but it's not that bad either.

Pros

While I love the office I work for, there is overall too much politics at UCLA to achieve the outcomes we want.

Cons

Unions can be very limiting.
